Lovely rhodochrosite point featuring beautiful natural banding and soft pink tones.

Rhodochrosite is a manganese carbonate mineral (MnCO₃). The manganese content gives the crystal its characteristic pink to rose-red colour, but the manganese is easily displaced by other elements such as iron which is probably the cause of the darker brown to black areas. Its manganese-rich composition also makes rhodochrosite noticeably dense and solid for its size.
