Collection: Citrine

Here is a collection of citrine crystals, mostly from Brazil or Congo. You can read in my blog more about what actually is considered as "citrine" and the difference between man-heated and natural citrine!

Citrine is associated with abundance, success, and prosperity. No two citrine are the same in colour or energy, thus we encourage you to take a look at the description of each citrine crystal we supply to learn its individual benefits and energy type.

What is a citrine crystal?

Citrine is a variety of quartz, a mineral composed of silicon dioxide (SiO2), just like amethyst. What sets citrine apart is its vibrant yellow to golden-brown colour, which is caused by trace amounts of iron impurities in the crystal structure. This warm and radiant hue gives citrine its nickname, "The Merchant's Stone," as its golden glow is reminiscent of the colour of wealth and prosperity.

Natural citrine is relatively rare, and many citrine crystals on the market are actually heat-treated amethyst or smoky quartz. The heat treatment process mimics the natural conditions that create citrine, transforming the purple or greyish-brown quartz into citrine. Rarely, some smoky quartz will turn into greenish citrine marketed as Ouro Verde, depending on the trace amount of Aluminium present in the crystal. I personally find Ouro Verde to be a very lucky crystal and excellent for manifestation. Citrine is commonly valued for its positive energy and association with abundance, success, and manifestation. It is often used in crystal healing practices to promote joy, confidence, and creativity, making it a sought-after gemstone for those seeking to embrace positivity and harness their inner power.
