Red Phantom Quartz (Rose Hematite)

Unique Red Phantom Quartz with Rose Hematite. This piece is highly unusal! The structure of the hematite phantom is formed in "roses" which form when tabular hematite aggregate together. This makes the phantom almost black rather than the usual red. Usually these hematite roses form on the outside of the quartz, and this is a rare case to find them as inclusions. Note that hematite is what gives the more common red phantom quartz their colour - this crystal displays a tinge of red. 

The "Red" Phantom Quartz is quite small and you can really only see the roses under a dissection microscope but I have provided some photos.
