This is a beautiful Herkimer Diamond with wonderful clarity and small carbon based black mineral inclusions. It is almost flawless (with the slightest of chip on one of its sides), and a very nice size for a herkimer.

Herkimer Diamonds are double terminated quartz found in New York. Some vendors sell any double terminated quartz as Herkimer Diamonds, so if the price sounds too good to be true, you should be questioning their origin.
