Giralsol quartz is the retail name for milky translucent quartz. Girasol are attractive due to their opal-like aesthetics, thought to be caused by inclusions of aluminium or water droplets (but I could not find reliable sources of such information). Upon closer examination, there are a lot of fine rutile needles present in this piece and other reflective inclusions, which give its sheen and chatoyance.
