Bloodshot iolites (iolite sunstones) incorporate hematite platelets. These hematite platelets have the unique quality of reflecting sunlight, creating a glittering effect. The green colouration is caused by the mineral actinolite. It's worth noting that Bloodshot Iolites are considered relatively rare crystals.
