What is Window Selenite?

Window Selenite is a transparent crystalline form of gypsum, distinct from the fibrous satin spar material commonly sold as “selenite.” Both Window Selenite and Satin Spar share the same chemical composition, calcium sulphate dihydrate, but they differ in crystal habit and appearance.

True Window Selenite forms in clear to translucent plates, blades, or tabular crystals, giving it a glassy, window-like appearance. Satin Spar, by contrast, grows in fibrous masses with a silky, pearly sheen and is the material most commonly carved into towers, wands, bowls, and charging plates.

Window Selenite is valued for its clarity, delicate structure, and natural light-transmitting quality. Historically, thin sheets of transparent selenite were even used as window panes, reflecting the origin of its “window” association.

Selenite is a soft gypsum mineral and should be handled with care. Avoid water, prolonged humidity, and rough handling, as gypsum is delicate and can scratch, chip, or dissolve more easily than harder crystals.

Every crystal shared through Crystal Meditation is thoughtfully purified, energetically prepared, and cared for before it reaches you.

Over years of meditation, energetic practice, and working closely with crystals, I’ve come to view purification as a process of energetic recalibration — gently restoring a crystal to a clearer and more balanced energetic state.

Before arriving to their new home, crystals often pass through many environments, storage spaces, and hands along their journey. My intention with this process is to help clear stagnant energetic residue and support the crystal’s natural resonance and clarity.

After exploring many different purification methods over time, I found sound-based energy work using Angel tuning forks to be one of the most aligned and effective approaches for energetic clearing and recalibration.

Each crystal is carefully purified using high-frequency 4096 Hz sound, helping create a calmer and more energetically aligned foundation before being shared with you.

Once energetically cleared, every crystal is then prepared through meditation with intention, presence, and unconditional love. This is the activation. 

For me, unconditional love represents the deepest state of compassion, connection, and healing — something cultivated through many years of personal inner work, emotional healing, and spiritual practice.

This intention is consciously infused into every crystal shared through Crystal Meditation, with the hope that each piece supports greater clarity, emotional grounding, healing, and connection within your own journey.
