What is Mica in Fluorite?

Mica is frequently found alongside fluorite in hydrothermal and pegmatite environments, where mineral-rich fluids create ideal conditions for crystal growth.

Geologically, mica formed first, with fluorite later crystallising around and alongside it. This natural process results in a balanced crystal formation where reflective mica is encased within stable fluorite bands, making each sphere visually unique.

Mica is famous for its perfect basal cleavage, allowing it to split into extremely thin layers. Historically, these transparent sheets were even used as window panes before modern glass became widely available.
