What is This Lavender Quartz?

This quartz cluster displays a soft pale lavender hue, giving it a delicate, ethereal appearance. The lavender colour is likely amethystine in nature, forming when trace amounts of iron become incorporated into the quartz crystal structure and are naturally altered by geological irradiation over time.

Unlike deeply saturated Amethyst, this cluster shows a gentler expression of purple colour. This may be due to a lower concentration of iron-related colour centres, more subtle irradiation, or uneven colour distribution during crystal growth. The result is a softer lavender tone rather than a dark violet or rich purple.
