Carnelian Palmstone in passionate reds and gorgeous patterns! This is an amazing piece with such deep intense colour, natural and not dyed. 

Carnelian and Red Agate are both chalcedony and pretty much the same thing. They seem to be categorised as one or the other depending on how much banding is present. Note, a lot of dyed agate are sold as Carnelian (be wary of very bright reds) or most are heat treated (this is an ancient practice used to enhance its colour for almost 1000 years). Though I cannot confirm whether this carnelian had been heated, it is from Madagascar where high quality material come from.
