This Rainbow Obsidian Heart from China has a dark polished surface with iridescent flashes of green, purple and gold that appear under light. Carved into a heart shape, this Rainbow Obsidian has a smooth, reflective finish that highlights its natural colour play.

Size: 4.5cm x 4.5cm
Origin: China

This Rainbow Obsidian reflects belonging, safety, grounding and a settled mind. It may serve as a reminder of our place within God’s creation and the security found in knowing we are held by Him. Its symbolism speaks to moving from inner scatteredness toward a steadier heart, rooted in the assurance that we do not have to carry life alone.

“You have been my help. I will sing in the shadow of your wings.”
— Psalm 63:7

Crystal Facts

Rainbow Obsidian Facts

Contrary to popular belief, Rainbow Obsidian’s colours are not caused by trapped bubbles. As the lava cooled, microscopic mineral crystals formed in thin, aligned layers within the volcanic glass. Light reflecting from these layers creates interference, producing hidden flashes of green, gold, violet, and other colours that appear as the stone moves.
