What is Epidote-Clinozoisite in Quartz?

Epidote and clinozoisite are closely related minerals that can occur together as inclusions in quartz. Epidote is richer in iron and usually greener, while clinozoisite is more aluminium-rich and often paler or yellowish. Large, well-formed inclusions preserved inside exceptionally clear quartz are uncommon, making these specimens particularly attractive to collectors.
