This rare quartz from Inner Mongolia is coated in pink hematite, with soft white stripe patterns and embedded specularite (crystallized hematite). 

Do note, the glittery minerals do come off on your hands. Please do not wash in water, and wash hands after handling (not toxic to handle, just being mindful of the hematite residue).

What is Pink Hematite Coated Quartz with Specularite?

Pink Hematite Coated Quartz is quartz naturally coloured by a fine layer of hematite, an iron oxide mineral that can create pink, red, orange, brown, or rusty tones on the crystal surface. In this specimen, the pink coating is accompanied by sparkling specularite, a mirror-like variety of hematite that forms as tiny metallic flakes or crystal surfaces.

The glittering effect is completely natural and is caused by light reflecting from the specularite across the quartz. This gives the crystal its distinctive shimmer, with the soft pink hematite coating contrasting beautifully against the bright metallic sparkle.

Quartz and hematite are known to occur together in Inner Mongolia, where iron-rich mineral fluids can interact with growing quartz crystals. These conditions allow hematite and specularite to coat or accent the quartz, creating highly textured, sparkling specimens with strong visual character.

Over years of meditation, energetic practice, and working closely with crystals, I’ve come to view purification as a process of energetic recalibration — gently restoring a crystal to a clearer and more balanced energetic state.

Before arriving to their new home, crystals often pass through many environments, storage spaces, and hands along their journey. My intention with this process is to help clear stagnant energetic residue and support the crystal’s natural resonance and clarity.

After exploring many different purification methods over time, I found sound-based energy work using Angel tuning forks to be one of the most aligned and effective approaches for energetic clearing and recalibration.

Each crystal is carefully purified using high-frequency 4096 Hz sound, helping create a calmer and more energetically aligned foundation before being shared with you.

Once energetically cleared, every crystal is then prepared through meditation with intention, presence, and unconditional love. This is the activation. 

For me, unconditional love represents the deepest state of compassion, connection, and healing — something cultivated through many years of personal inner work, emotional healing, and spiritual practice.
