Labradorite carving with subtle purple and orange flashes that emerge when angled in sunlight, revealing a captivating play of colour across its polished surface. Originally, the Eye of Providence is rooted in Christian symbolism of the Trinity and God’s watchful care over humanity. This was later unfortunately adopted by Freemasonry. This labradorite carving reclaims its original Christian meaning.
Size: 4.6cm x 4cm
Origin: Madagascar
This Labradorite reflects qualities of clarity, peace, wisdom and self-control, symbolising the value of pausing before reacting and seeking a balanced perspective. It may serve as a reminder to quiet an overactive mind, respond thoughtfully rather than impulsively, and allow God's wisdom to guide your thoughts and decisions.
“Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.”
— James 1:19

What is Labradorite?
Labradorite is a variety of plagioclase feldspar known for its striking optical effect, called labradorescence. The flashes of blue, green, gold, orange, pink, violet, or red come from light interacting with microscopic internal layers within the stone. Each piece has a unique pattern of colour, with blue and green being common and warmer tones such as pink, orange, and red often more unusual.
