Crystal Facts

What is Pink Amethyst?

Pink Amethyst is a trade name most commonly associated with pink quartz geodes from Patagonia, Argentina, where iron-related mechanisms contribute to the colour. This Madagascan material is better described as pale pink quartz or pale amethyst, with soft blush tones and distinctive plume-like patterns. These flower-like formations likely result from variations in silica deposition during growth, creating delicate clouds and layered patterns. Although sold as Pink Amethyst, this specimen has its own unique beauty, combining gentle colouring with flower-like, agate-style patterns.
