A recent discovery from Turkey, this eye-catching combination of sparkling epidote and mint-green, chlorite-included quartz has rapidly gained popularity among collectors. Most specimens are sourced from Şemdinli, in southern Hakkari Province.

Geologists frequently find epidote and chlorite occurring in the same hydrothermal and metamorphic environments.
